Antwerp Convention Bureau welcomed eight international association buyers for a familiarisation trip focused on gastronomy, innovation, fashion and event infrastructure. The programme included the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony at Handelsbeurs and visits across the city.

Antwerp Convention Bureau hosted eight international association buyers during a two-day familiarisation trip designed to present the city’s offer for meetings, conferences and events. The programme combined site visits, cultural activities and sector-focused experiences linked to gastronomy, sustainable materials, fashion and science. A central part of the itinerary was attendance at the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony at Handelsbeurs.

Antwerp highlights meeting venues, sustainability and cultural assets

Delegates also visited BlueChem, Belgium’s incubator for sustainable chemistry, where companies including Fairbrics and Bloom Biotech presented developments in textile innovation and carbon capture technologies. Additional stops included MoMu Fashion Museum Antwerp and a sustainable fashion walk connected to the 40th anniversary of the Antwerp Six. Venue visits featured A Room with a ZOO, Hotel FRANQ, Hilton Antwerp Old Town, Horta Grand Café and Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp. The programme formed part of Antwerp Convention Bureau’s ongoing efforts to position the city as a destination for international association meetings and events.
