LNG2029 will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and will gather representatives from the global liquefied natural gas industry, including energy companies, policymakers and researchers. The conference is recognised as the largest international event dedicated to the LNG sector. The bid was led by the Australian Gas Industry Trust in partnership with Australian Energy Producers and supported by Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Tourism and Events Queensland, Brisbane Economic Development Agency and Tourism Australia.
LNG2029 expected to strengthen Brisbane’s international events portfolio
The conference is projected to generate up to AUD 19 million in economic impact and more than 16,800 visitor nights for Queensland. Organisers expect the event to provide a platform for discussions on energy security, innovation, emissions reduction and developments in the global LNG market. LNG2029 will also contribute to the city’s international business events programme in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
