Dubai Business Events, part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, participated in IMEX Frankfurt 2026 alongside 20 industry stakeholders. During the event, Dubai retained its leading positions in several international rankings, including the highest attendee numbers per association conference according to ICCA and the top position among meeting destinations in the Middle East and Africa according to Cvent. The city also hosted the inaugural MENA Blockchain Week, a decentralised initiative comprising more than 40 events across Dubai.

Business Events and Aviation Drive Continued Growth

The Emirates Group reported record financial results for the 2025-26 fiscal year, including profit before tax of 24.4 billion AED and revenue of 150.5 billion AED. Dubai Airports also reported operational continuity during regional airspace disruptions, handling six million passengers, more than 32,000 aircraft movements and 213,000 tonnes of cargo between late February and the end of April. Separately, Dubai announced a second economic incentives package valued at 1.5 billion AED, including support measures for the tourism, events and culture sectors. In the healthcare sector, MedLab Training Institute opened a new surgical training facility at Dubai Science Park to support clinical education and skills development across the region.
