Glasgow’s Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has hosted several large European medical congresses this year, with significant delegate participation. The European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) attracted over 7,000 attendees, making it the largest congress in the organisation’s history. This followed the 50th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), which saw 4,700 in-person delegates, and the European Conference on Cystic Fibrosis, attended by 2,200 professionals.

Future events include the European Association of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (EAACI) in June 2025, expecting over 8,000 delegates, and the European Renal Association (ERA) in June 2026, with more than 9,000 participants anticipated. Additionally, the AC Forum will hold its Annual Meeting at the SEC in January 2025, further highlighting the city’s capacity to host large-scale European conferences.
