Geneva will welcome more than 7,000 specialists, researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals for the Annual Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) at Palexpo. The event is one of Europe’s largest scientific meetings focused on the brain, the nervous system, and brain health. The congress programme includes symposia, workshops, training sessions, and scientific presentations addressing current developments in neurology and related disciplines.

European Capital of Brain Health 2026

The designation as European Capital of Brain Health 2026 accompanies the congress and includes a series of activities aimed at promoting awareness of brain health. A legacy programme features two public conferences, a nationwide school initiative called the Brain Health Schools Challenge, and a public communication campaign running in Geneva from 20 June to 4 July 2026. Public events are scheduled for 26 June at Campus Biotech and 29 June at Palexpo, focusing on brain health prevention, patient engagement, and public dialogue. The programme addresses topics including sleep, nutrition, and physical activity while supporting exchanges between the scientific community, healthcare stakeholders, and the public.
