Anniversary. From the outset Conventa has been successfully working on gaining the attention of key meeting industry players; turning their focus to the region of South East Europe. In 2013 this main professional meeting industry gathering, offering meeting professionals a chance to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business, will celebrate its 5th anniversary. To mark the first five editions of the main regional trade show, the Organiser will enrich Conventa programme with five novelties.

“At this turning point we want to celebrate with our meeting industry partners and friends. Each edition of the Conventa show has made an important step in bringing together the meeting industry of South East Europe and securing its position on the global market. And in January we would like to celebrate our achievements,” said Miha Kovacic, Conventa Organiser.

First two novelties aim to strengthen cooperation between respective companies and destinations as a whole and consequently increase the impact of meetings and events on the economy of the destinations. “Through the Conventa Forum of Mayors we will bring together mayors of key destinations to discuss about the role of meeting industry in the region. And at the second SEEPCO meeting we will connect South East European PCOs and give them an opportunity to exchange experience and work together,« revealed Gorazd Cad, Technical organiser.

The third novelty arises from need for more networking opportunities at the trade shows. This year the Conventa show therefore introduces Conventa mingling that is designed to accelerate business introductions. In the last hour of the show, the Conventa participants will have the opportunity to exchange business cards and possibly additional information for a follow up meeting. In this manner Conventa participants will be able to expand their pool of partners and gain additional exposure.

The last two surprises will await the participants taking part in the Conventa programme from 16 to 17 January 2013 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
