Ottawa Tourism has concluded a multi-day programme in London to promote the city as a destination for conferences, investment and sector collaboration. A central event, titled “Unlocking Unlimited Opportunities in Ottawa,” was held at Canada House in partnership with Invest Ottawa and the Rogers Centre Ottawa. The reception brought together representatives from technology, cybersecurity and defence sectors to discuss opportunities for conferences, partnerships and expansion into North America.

Focus on sector strengths and business events infrastructure

The mission highlighted an innovation hub with close links between government, academia and industry. The city’s capabilities in cybersecurity, defence, artificial intelligence and communications technology were presented as key drivers for international collaboration. Ottawa Tourism outlined its role in attracting global meetings and conferences, working with partners to connect events with local expertise and networks. The programme also referenced recent examples of international engagement, including INCYBER Forum Canada 2026 and the expansion of defence engineering company SEA into Ottawa.
