PCMA Appoints Neil Brownlee as 2025 Chair

Neil Brownlee, Head of Business Events at VisitScotland, has been inaugurated as the 2025 Chair of PCMA. He is the first non-North American to hold this position, emphasizing the global reach of the business events industry.

At the PCMA Convening Leaders conference in Houston (12–15 January 2025), Neil Brownlee, Head of Business Events at VisitScotland, was officially sworn in as the 2025 Chair of PCMA. With over 35 years of experience in the international hospitality and business events sector, Brownlee succeeds Immediate Past Chair Leonard Hoops, President and CEO at Visit Indy. Kelly Ricker, Chief Operating Officer of the Global Technology Industry Association, was sworn in as Chair Elect.

A Global Vision for Business Events

Brownlee and Ricker will collaborate with PCMA’s Board of Directors and Trustees to advance the association’s mission of promoting business events as drivers of global economic and social progress. As the first Chair from outside North America, Brownlee plans to highlight the international reach of PCMA and support the industry’s role in fostering meaningful change.
