Installed in the 2,764-seat Congress Hall of the PCC, the new L-Acoustics L2 sound system is designed to provide consistent sound quality across the auditorium and offers modular extensions for acoustic effects, simulations and spatial adjustments. The installation is already prepared for an upgrade to L-ISA technology, which can create immersive 3D sound that follows performers across the stage. Almost one-third smaller and lighter than typical systems in its class, the compact system allows the loudspeakers to be suspended above the stage, creating additional space and flexibility for large-scale productions.

Prague Congress Centre modernizes theatre and stage technology

Alongside the new sound system, the theatre and stage technology in the two largest halls of the Prague Congress Centre is also being upgraded. This includes the replacement of point hoists and control systems, as well as the conversion from hydraulic to electromechanical drives. These measures are intended to improve reliability and safety, reduce operating costs and deliver energy savings. Load capacity for the point hoists will increase from 300 to 500 kilograms, while the new control systems will provide simpler operation and additional functions.
