Prague Secures 5th Place in Global Meetings Ranking

Prague has been ranked fifth among the world’s most popular meeting destinations by the ICCA, improving its position within Europe. In 2024, the city hosted 5,139 events, a 5% increase year-on-year.

The International Congress and Convention Association’s 2024 data place Prague fifth worldwide and fourth in Europe for international association meetings, despite intensifying competition from Asian cities. With over 5,100 events last year—a 5.1% increase—Prague has demonstrated robust recovery, reaching 86.5% of its pre-pandemic activity level.

Growth Drivers and Sector Highlights

Association conferences in medical sciences, economics and finance, and IT and telecommunications led Prague’s delegate numbers, contributing to over 804,000 attendees who averaged 2.27 days per visit. Domestic events accounted for 58.5% of the total, while key international markets included the USA, UK, Germany, and France.
