The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted the Unique Venue Showcase Event at KidZania Tokyo. The venue, which normally operates as an educational theme park where children explore different professions, was opened after hours for the event. Participants were welcomed with drinks and live music before being guided through the venue by performers. Video installations, LED panels and coloured lighting were used to transform the central plaza into an event space designed for networking and presentations.

Experiential event formats highlighted at KidZania Tokyo

During the programme, participants took part in KidZania’s interactive work experiences inside the venue’s themed establishments. The event also included catering featuring ingredients from Tokyo regions such as Hachijojima and Okutama, alongside locally produced beverages. The showcase concluded with a parade through the venue, where participants carried illuminated flags and accompanied a rainbow-lit festival float. According to the organisers, the event illustrated how non-traditional venues can support corporate gatherings that combine experiential activities with networking opportunities for delegates and accompanying persons.
