The three-day program featured 115 international speakers and the presentation of 347 scientific abstracts. Sessions covered 50 hours of clinical debates, masterclasses, and workshops focused on pharmacological treatments and personalized therapies. Although survival rates improved due to earlier detection and more effective medical interventions, the conference highlighted ongoing challenges regarding equitable access to care. Disparities in clinical outcomes across different healthcare systems remained a central topic of the scientific debate throughout the event.

The EBCC served as a primary platform for international knowledge exchange and provided early-career researchers with opportunities to present their findings to established experts. Dr. Javier Cortés, President of the National Organizing Committee, noted the shift toward more effective therapeutic approaches while emphasizing the need for continued global progress. This event concluded the first quarter of medical congresses at the Barcelona International Convention Centre. The venue expected to host approximately fifteen major scientific events throughout the year, attracting an estimated 160,000 professionals to the region.
