The 2M2C – Montreux Music & Convention Center will reopen in summer 2026 after three years of renovation and redevelopment. The return of the Montreux Jazz Festival in July will mark the venue’s first major event following the completion of the project.

Following an extensive transformation programme, the 2M2C will officially welcome visitors back from 3 July 2026 with the 60th edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival. The reopening represents the start of a new operational phase for the venue. From 1 August 2026 onwards, the centre will host a programme of congresses, corporate events, exhibitions and cultural gatherings. A new website, featuring updated content and a redesigned digital platform, is scheduled to launch in September 2026.

Diverse Event Programme Scheduled Through 2027

The confirmed event calendar includes a range of scientific congresses, association meetings, corporate events and cultural performances. Among the first events are the Annual Congress of the Swiss Society for Microbiology in August 2026 and the Joint Annual Meeting of SSI and SSHH in September. The programme also includes concerts, festivals and public events such as the Montreux Comedy Festival, the Swiss Pain Congress and the 2M2C Open Day. Additional events are already scheduled into 2027, reflecting the venue’s role as a location for both business and cultural activities in the region.
