Mainz. “Only three months to go until completion of the expanded Rheingoldhalle,” rejoices August Moderer director of Congress Centrum Mainz. Over 7,000 sqm of event space will be available to planners from January 2007 in Rheingoldhalle; the new Gutenbergsaal has space for 1,340 people but can be divided into four areas. The new CCM will be brighter and friendlier, with shorter distances and more foyer space connected directly with the 433-room Hilton. A wedding fair produced by CCM will inaugurate the new rooms, and further conventions will be staged by the European gynaecologists and concrete and construction engineers. www.ccmainz.de
