ibtm events, part of global exhibitions organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), has unveiled the itinerary for ibtm arabia 2017, which takes place from February 7th to 9th at Jumeirah Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi. Leading the agenda as keynote speaker is bestselling author and executive coach, Dr Tommy Weir, who will deliver a presentation focused on leadership and maximising potential, revealing his thoughts on how to capitalise on current market conditions. Having founded the Emerging Markets Leadership Center (EMLC), the first company to exclusively focus on leadership in fast-growth and emerging markets, including the Middle East, Dr. Weir has helped over 3,000 executives from more than 80 nationalities achieve peak performance.
Dr Weir commented: “I’m delighted to be joining the ibtm arabia event as keynote speaker and I’m looking forward to having some great discussions about doing business in the region. I’ll be sharing with attendees my insights into what makes a successful business leader in the Middle East and how to harness these behaviours to ensure exceptional results in current and future potential market conditions.” Following Dr. Weir’s speech, delegates will embark on excursions designed to showcase the broad appeal of Abu Dhabi and allow them to build relationships ahead of more formal meetings. “Discovery Day”, in partnership with Hala Abu Dhabi, will give attendees the opportunity to join a number of excursions, including a visit to a Falcon Hospital and Heritage Village, a tour of the modern attractions of Yas Island or a treasure hunt around Abu Dhabi city. Delegates will then participate in a desert challenge followed by dinner under the stars.
Shinu Pillai, Event Director, ibtm arabia, commented: “In keeping with the cultural norm of ensuring quality time spent building relationships ahead of doing business, we have incorporated a total of nine networking events into the three-day-long event, ensuring that formal meetings are interspersed with valuable time spent forging new connections and enhancing existing relationships.”
ibtm arabia is run with the support of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau and Etihad Airways.
