Cultural offer. London has been named Best Culture Destination in the inaugural Leading Culture Destinations annual awards. Cultural institutions in cities as far and wide as Paris, New York, Miami, Shanghai, Oslo and Berlin, were among those competing to win nine awards at the event, held at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London. In addition to London winning the overall jury award for Best Culture Destination, the Tate Modern was named the Leading Culture Destination 2014. Speaking about the importance of the capital’s exceptional cultural offer to London’s incentive travel proposition, Barbara Jamison, Head of Business Development – Europe at London & Partners, says: “London is a unique and diverse destination that combines dazzling living history with magnificent exhibitions, world-class theatre, bustling nightlight and fantastic cuisine. We are delighted that London’s fantastic cultural offering has been recognised on the global stage by this award.”
