Karyn Sutton, a seasoned professional in corporate communication and marketing, has joined BCEC to lead its Communication, Marketing, and Engagement Strategy. The appointment comes as BCEC positions itself for future growth, including its role as an Olympic venue for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Leadership Transition During a Milestone Year

As BCEC marks 30 years of operation, the Centre will also see a transition in its marketing leadership. Long-serving Marketing & Communications Manager Gail Sawyer, who has been with BCEC for 26 years, will move to a part-time role. Her tenure has been central to establishing the Centre’s media presence and branding.

The Centre continues to build on its history of hosting events and contributing to Brisbane’s position in the business events sector.
