Business Events Sydney confirmed that 81 future business events were secured during 2025. These events are expected to attract around 59,000 delegates, generate approximately 253,000 delegate days and deliver more than 252 million US dollars in future direct expenditure to Sydney. The result exceeds the previous record set in 2019. That year generated 249.8 million US dollars in direct expenditure for New South Wales.

BESydney Chief Executive Officer Amanda Lampe attributed the outcome to the organisation’s specialist team and its public and private sector partnerships. She noted that the secured events align with the New South Wales Government’s Visitor Economy Strategy 2035, which recognises business events as a driver of economic growth. The forward calendar includes major international association conferences and corporate events across sectors such as science, technology, manufacturing and research. Confirmed wins include global congresses in labour relations, hydropower and services, as well as large-scale incentive programs. BESydney stated that further growth is expected in 2026, supported by expanding air connectivity, new accommodation supply and increased international marketing activity.
