Great Britain. VisitBrighton has netted three conference wins this month. Following the announcement of the arrival of Summer eventia (5th – 7th July 09), Brighton will now host mental health charity Mind (25th-27th November 2009) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (October 2010). The wins span Not for Profit, Industry and Association sectors, further underlining the city’s growing status as an exceptional destination for every event. These new wins are expected to deliver over £1million of economic benefit to the city.

“The first quarter of 2009 has started positively for city and these wins are a great endorsement of Brighton & Hove’s business tourism product,” commented Julia Gallagher, Convention Bureau Manager, VisitBrighton. “Both ourselves and our partners are looking forward to welcoming every delegate to Brighton and the arrival of Eventia delegates presents an enormous opportunity for us to showcase the city. “In a tough operating environment winning three new contracts of this size in the space of a few weeks is a real boost to Brighton,” concluded Gallagher. “Our new business pipeline is also positive for the remainder of the year and into 2010, with some landmark conference expected to confirm over the next few months.” www.visitbrighton.com
