The destination marketing organisation Destination DC has appointed Claasen Communication as its representative for the Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The agency will handle communications for the US capital, Washington, DC, in the areas of tourism, conferences and major events. This continues an existing collaboration from the Capital Region USA marketing association. Claasen Communication also supports Destination DC in its collaboration with tour operators, travel agencies and other market partners.
Press and market support for Washington, DC in German-speaking countries
The focus of the agency’s activities is on press and public relations work and on supporting the Destination DC trade team. The aim is to present Washington in a differentiated way as a travel destination with cultural, culinary and urban attractions. In 2026, the focus will be on several major events and cultural projects, including preparations for the 250th anniversary of the United States and museum openings and expansions along the National Mall. Claasen Communication is available to media and travel partners as a contact in the German-speaking market.
