The 2017 LEN European Short Course Championships, taking place at the moment from 13 to 17 December in Copenhagen, marks the debut of sports events held at the city’s new venue, the Royal Arena. The new multi-purpose arena is host to more than 1,000 swimmers from 40 countries, offering two temporary pools, one for competition and one for training. Meanwhile, Royal Arena is also preparing to host the Men’s Ice Hockey World Championships in May 2018.

Copenhagen’s new Meetingplanner Guide helps organisers find the right suppliers for their events. The guide’s seven sections cover venues, hotels, transportation and tours, PCOs and DMOs, event staff, technical suppliers and furniture and exhibition design.

As part of the “Everything is closer” campaign, the Wonderful Copenhagen Convention Bureau and Visit Denmark have released the “In Copenhagen, everything is closer” video that shows the accessibility of Copenhagen and Denmark, especially for meetings and events.
