DGPPN Congress to take place annually in Berlin until 2011

Berlin. The German Society of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Neurology (DGPPN) is to hold its annual meeting in the ICC Berlin until 2011. This was confirmed by Professor Dr. med. Dr. rer. soc. Frank Schneider, President Elect of the DGPPN and Director of the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Aachen. Professor Schneider, who in 2009 and 2010 will be president of the oldest and largest scientific society for psychiatry and psychotherapy, was clear in his support for Berlin as a venue for holding congresses: “The history of DGPPN congresses in Berlin is a story of success. Every year the congress has continued to expand. The guests at our conference appreciate the unique atmosphere and the outstanding service in the ICC Berlin, as well as the city of Berlin with its wide range of cultural attractions and events.“ This year’s annual meeting of the DGPPN will be focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders and on mental health issues. Taking as its slogan “Psychiatry as a therapeutic discipline“, from 26 to 29 November the congress will dwell on the following topics at more than 500 individual events. www.icc-berlin.de
