Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI), the world’s largest association for destination marketing organisations, has recently announced the addition of a new European Policy Environment workshop to its 2009 “Leadership Forum – Europe” programme. Taking place from 14 to 16 October 2009 in Glasgow, Scotland, the “Leadership Forum – Europe” provides a unique, high-level interactive platform for key players in the destination marketing industry. CEOs, Presidents, and Executive/Managing Directors of Convention Bureaus and Tourism Boards from throughout Europe will meet to discuss and exchange strategic views and ideas on the challenges affecting the industry in Europe as well as share best practices and proven solutions for attracting new business to their destinations. “I especially look forward to the debate about the impact of EU policies and legislation on our industry.
