Expo 2020 Dubai will host a series of nine cutting-edge medical conferences and specialised events at the new Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), boosting the UAE’s growing status as a global hub for innovation. The events – expected to attract hundreds of attendees from across the world – will be organised during the peak six months of Expo 2020 and will include a Virtual Reality (VR) and Robotics Expo alongside pediatric, orthopaedic and surgery conferences, as well as events focusing on technological advances such as artificial intelligence (AI), 3D Printing and wearable technology.

Located within the Expo 2020 Dubai site, DEC will offer 45,000 sq m of flexible space dedicated to business events and it will remain post-Expo as part of its legacy. Other events already confirmed to take place in DEC include the World Government Summit and BlockExpo and World Blockchain Summit 2020. Steen Jakobsen, Assistant Vice President, Dubai Business Events said: “Dubai Exhibition Centre is an exciting new addition to the business events eco-system in the city and is already becoming a popular and viable option for organisers and planners, both for events during Expo 2020 Dubai, as over the coming years after that. Easily accessible and with significant infrastructure being build alongside it, the venue is highly flexible and a unique proposition for events of all types and sizes.”
