The Portugal-based event and entertainment solutions provider Europalco has aligned its operations with the ISO 45001 standard, which defines requirements for occupational health and safety management systems. The certification reflects a structured approach to risk management in complex event environments, including rigging operations, stage construction, work at height and electrical safety. To meet the standard, Europalco conducted audits, risk assessments and targeted training programmes, while increasing investment in protective equipment and internal safety processes.
Integrated management system supports safety and operational continuity
The certification is integrated into Europalco’s broader management framework, which also includes ISO 9001 for quality and ISO 20121 for sustainable event management. This combined approach links safety, quality and sustainability within a single system of continuous improvement. For clients and partners, the certification provides assurance regarding compliance and risk control, while employees benefit from enhanced safety measures, training and support programmes. Europalco plans to further align its standards and expand training initiatives as part of its ongoing operational development.
