Excel London, the capital’s 125,000 sqm event destination, has unveiled its Net Zero Transition Plan alongside a revised pledge to reach net zero by 2045. First to do so among large venues, Excel London aligns its roadmap with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Corporate Net Zero Standard and builds on existing measures—100 % renewable electricity procurement, HVO biodiesel use, LED screen upgrades and zero waste‑to‑landfill operations.

Further Emission Reductions and Milestones

The transition plan sets short‑ and long‑term goals: a 75 % recycling rate by 2025, a fully hybrid or electric vehicle fleet by 2030, 50 % reductions in Scope 1–3 emissions by 2030, 90 % cuts in Scope 1–2 by 2040 and 90 % in Scope 3 by 2045. Since 2022, Excel London has maintained carbon neutrality to PAS 2060 and holds Planet Mark certification for independently verified emissions data.
