GainingEdge has announced the appointment of Hamish Reid to lead business development and representation services across the UK and Europe. In this role, he will focus on expanding in-market activities and strengthening client engagement in the region. Reid brings more than 25 years of international experience in the business events sector, covering sales, marketing and strategic leadership roles. His recent position was Senior Manager, Europe at Dubai Business Events. He has also held senior roles at Jersey Tourism and MMGY Global, where he worked with international clients on business events strategies.

Focus on business development and representation services in Europe

According to GainingEdge CEO Steen Jakobsen, the appointment supports the company’s strategic focus on representation and business development services. He stated that Reid’s experience aligns with the company’s approach to linking sales and marketing activity with measurable outcomes. Reid will be responsible for expanding the company’s representation services portfolio in the region. He has received several industry awards, including the M&IT Personality of the Year Award and recognition from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He has also served on the SITE Foundation Board of Trustees and as its President.
