Incentive Europe. Barbara Kolff, Senior Project Manager at the Agency Incentive Europe, thinks about Incentives in Gouda: If you mention Gouda, usually everybody immediately thinks of cheese, treacle waffles and earthenware! This typical Dutch city has a lot more to offer such as; stained glass windows, a picturesque town hall and romantic canals. Visit the Pottery, where clay pipes are still being made in the traditional way. In one of the oldest streets in the centre, the Hoge Gouwe, you can find a unique candle-making shop, “De Vergulde Kaars”. To immerse fully into the atmosphere of candles, you can roll up your sleeves and dip, cast or color a candle yourself. The 123-metre long St. John’s Church with its world-famous stained-glass windows, the fabulous Gothic Town Hall and the Weigh House is well worth a visit to Gouda! There are different kinds of restaurants in Gouda; typical Dutch café restaurants but also Tapas or Italian restaurants where you can have a nice dinner. My favorite places are Hip (trendy) and Restaurant Proeven where you can have great tasting menus! www.incentive.nl, bk@incentive.nl
