IAPCO announces Council changes at 2026 General Assembly

The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers confirmed new Council appointments during its 2026 Annual Meeting and General Assembly in Athens. Jason Yeh was elected President Elect for a one year term.

During the General Assembly, members of the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers voted Jason Yeh of GIS Group, Taiwan, into the role of President Elect. He will assume the presidency at the 2027 Annual Meeting. In addition, Ginerva De Bellis of Oic Group, Benoit Dubuisson of Downtown Europe and Jessica Ferguson of Arinex were elected to Council. Giulia Sarri of AIM Group International was ratified to replace Nicola Testai. The continuing Council includes President Sissi Lignou, Jimena Ruiz, Stephen Noble and Ajay Bhojwani. Co opted members are Alexandros Terzis and Amit Saroj.

IAPCO governance structure and transition timeline

Under the association’s governance framework, the President serves a one year term before transitioning to Immediate Past President for an additional year. Sissi Lignou will continue as President until the 2027 General Assembly. The association also acknowledged the contribution of outgoing Council members Limor Cunia and Ellen Franck, and recognised Sarah Markey Hamm for eight years of service in various Council roles, most recently as Immediate Past President and Chair of the Quality Committee.
