ICC Sydney will assume operational responsibility for The Cutaway from April 2026. The venue will host major cultural and corporate events from August 2026.

The consortium of Darling Harbour Live, Placemaking NSW and ICC Sydney has expanded its public private partnership portfolio to include The Cutaway at Barangaroo. It’s integration extends the existing framework and aligns operational delivery across venues following an official opening attended by New South Wales Premier Chris Minns and government stakeholders.

The Cutaway Barangaroo Expands Event Capacity in New South Wales

Initial activity will include test events such as Business Events Sydney’s Global Ambassador Dinner, followed by Sydney Festival, Vivid Sydney, the Biennale of Sydney, the National Indigenous Art Fair and Blak Markets, alongside exhibitions, corporate launches and industry events. The venue offers 5,000 square metres of space, including a main hall, exhibition areas, back of house facilities and a First Nations space, with step free access via Barangaroo Metro Station, upgraded acoustics and fully electric operations aligned with sustainability targets.
