Kigali and Muscat were selected to extend ICCA’s reach to new regions and support the growth of local business events ecosystems. Both Congresses will serve as strategic platforms for ICCA members to exchange ideas, foster partnerships, and advance inclusive, long-term development across the global business events industry.
Kigali 2027: Pan-African Focus
The 66th ICCA Congress will bring together delegates from across Africa and international association leaders. Kigali offers world-class infrastructure, efficient event services, and a commitment to sustainability. The Congress will focus on growth strategies, capacity building, and Africa’s role in the global meetings industry. Janet Karemera, CEO of the Rwanda Convention Bureau, highlighted the event as an opportunity to showcase Rwanda and regional partners.
Muscat 2028: Cross-Regional Collaboration
The 67th ICCA Congress will emphasise community development and regional connectivity. Muscat’s cultural heritage, expanding meeting infrastructure, and hospitality capacity make it a hub for Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The Congress aims to strengthen relationships, encourage cross-regional cooperation, and support sustainable growth in the international meetings sector.
