Denmark. Construction of the 366 bedroom, 25 floor high, Internationally branded hotel in Copenhagen’s Oerestad, has progressed much faster than expected. The expected opening date is now Monday 16th November 2009. The hotel is therefore expected to be ready in time to welcome some of the many participants at the UN Climate Summit – COP 15 – taking place in Copenhagen in December 2009. “Sjaelsoe Group has constructed this huge building project at impressive speeds, and we have now decided to accelerate the remainder of the process to ensure that we can open our doors in time for the UN Climate Summit in December this year” says Allan L. Agerholm, CEO and shareholder in Copenhagen Hotel Management. He adds: “There are of course still many details to finalise before the opening day, but we are confident that we will make it in time we can welcome some of the many participants to COP 15.” With the opening of Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers, Copenhagen can for the first time in many years offer a new built 4-star hotel of International standard and branding. www.cphm.dk
