Business Events Adelaide this month hosted Infinitus JiYang’s incentive programme (1–7 September), welcoming over 1,200 delegates who took part in business seminars, a public wellness session and regional excursions. The group’s itinerary combined metropolitan and regional experiences, and concluded with a Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Delegates travelled to the Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and the Barossa as part of the five-day programme. Business Events Adelaide secured the booking with financial and promotional support from Tourism Australia under the Business Events Bid Fund.

Corporate incentives boost regional visitor spend

Tourism Australia signalled continued backing for the market, following a March Memorandum of Understanding with Infinitus. Acting Managing Director Robin Mack described the incentive as a tangible outcome of that partnership. Business Events Adelaide CEO Damien Kitto noted the group had originally been won in 2018 and reconfirmed after a 2020 postponement. He said affordability, proximate high-quality visitor experiences and recent hotel investment are driving renewed demand from Asia. Infinitus opens a series of corporate incentive visits to Adelaide in 2025, additional groups from Greater China, Malaysia and India are expected. The city estimates that the program will contribute more than AUD 10 million to the state economy across city and regional locations.
