Opened in the Ha Long Marina Urban Area in October 2025, InterContinental Halong Bay Resort provides a range of dedicated venues designed for conferences, incentives and corporate travel, alongside a programme of local experiences for delegates. The Meetings Centre is fitted with omnidirectional microphones, a Logitech video-conference camera, four large LCD screens and customisable LED lighting to support hybrid and immersive formats, while event planners can choose from multiple indoor and outdoor configurations for different meeting sizes.

MICE facilities, capacities and sustainable event operations

Event facilities include the pillarless Tonkin Grand Ballroom (theatre-style up to 1,050; receptions 810; banquets 680) and the Cat Ba Ballroom (up to 252 theatre-style or 160 for banquets). Smaller rooms such as the Cong Tay Room, Ngoc Vung Room, Chairman’s Boardroom and a VIP Lounge are suitable for board meetings or breakouts. Outdoor options comprise a landscaped garden for up to 380 guests and a panoramic terrace for up to 390. Accommodation and guest services comprise 174 guestrooms and suites, 60 residences and 41 private villas for extended-stay delegates.

Incentive and bleisure programmes feature local excursions like private cruises among Ha Long Bay’s karsts, visits to floating fishing villages and tours of a local pearl farm. They are designed to offer cultural access for groups. Sustainability measures under IHG’s Meetings for Good include a digital-first approach to reduce printed collateral, elimination or reduction of single-use plastics, energy optimisation during set-up and downtime, reusable service ware and filtered water stations. The resort also provides Timeshifter access for jet-lag management. The property is located approximately two hours from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport.
