Saturday, 19.10.2019

The annual luxury incentives and events forum to take place on 4-7 October 2020: inVoyage, the international event for the luxury MICE sector, has partnered with the luxury Myconian Collection to bring inVoyage 2020 to the Greek isle of Mykonos.

The seventh annual inVoyage – inMykonos – will bring luxury travel brands together with high-level event planners representing some of the world’s leading corporations on 4-7 October 2020. Taking place at the Group’s five-star properties in Elia Beach, inVoyage 2020 will showcase the best of Mykonos alongside the brand’s impressive luxury portfolio.

A whitewashed paradise in the heart of the Cyclades, Mykonos has retained a wild, natural beauty while evolving into one of the world’s most desirable destinations. The Myconian Collection, which boasts some of the island’s most beautiful settings, is a family-owned group of ten leading luxury hotels, including three Relais & Châteaux, two Leading Hotels of the World, two Design Hotels, two Preferred Hotels & Resorts and a Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Located above Elia Beach – the island’s longest fine sand beach – Royal Myconian Resort boasts classic white-domed architecture, breath-taking views and personalised service, while sister property Myconian Imperial pairs barefoot luxuries with high-end service.

inVoyage co-founder and managing director Richard Joslin said: “It’s a great endorsement of inVoyage that the Daktylides family have put their faith in us and opened up the doors to their Myconian Collection. We have just completed our most successful event yet and all the feedback pays testament to the quality of delegates in the room. “We have so much we want to achieve through inVoyage and with each edition we look to improve on the last. Working with the Myconian Collection provides us the opportunity to bring the event to a truly inspirational destination with a purely luxury brand run by passionate and dedicated hospitality professionals.”

Speaking on behalf of the Daktylides family and Myconian Collection, managing director of Royal Myconian and Myconian Utopia, Panos Daktylides added: “The selection of Mykonos as the inVoyage destination for 2020 fills us with joy. We are looking forward to welcoming our esteemed partners to the Royal Myconian, the Myconian Imperial and the rest of our properties for an event filled with meaningful connections, insightful discussions and thought leadership, against the background of one of the most iconic island destinations in the world.

“We are confident that the inVoyage team’s expertise, combined with the signature Myconian Collection hospitality, which brings together the warmth and attentiveness of a family business and high-end luxury, will inspire participants immensely and confirm, once again, the leading position our Group, inVoyage, and Mykonos boast in the realm of luxury travel.”

The announcement comes after inVoyage hosted its strongest ever collective of luxury event professionals in Monaco last week, bringing together 280 high-end buyers and suppliers from across the globe on 6-9 October for one-to-one meetings, networking, education and exclusive experiences. The event, which took place at Hotel Hermitage and the brand new One Monte-Carlo conference space, welcomed 91 per cent new buyer delegates and 74 per cent new corporate and agency buyer companies in 2019, when compared to 2018, with strong growth in the US, Scandic and UK markets in particular.

Well over 100 luxury brands and destination partners participated in this year’s event including the likes of Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La, Jumeirah, Accor, Oetker Collection, Maui Jim sunglasses, Melbourne Convention Bureau, Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau, Meet in Ireland and Silversea Cruises. Buyers included senior representatives from agencies and corporates across Europe, Asia and the US including BCD Meetings & Events, CI Group, First Event, Black Tomato Agency, Ingram Micro Cloud, Havas Luxe, MCI Group, CWT Meetings & Events, Make My Event, Invesco, Sony Music and Coty.
