Kai Tak Sports Park Records over 7 Million Visits in it’s First Year

Less than a year after its official opening on 1 March 2025, Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) has established itself as Hong Kong’s premier destination for mega sports and entertainment events.

The park opened on 1 March 2025. Since then it has hosted over 90 international and local events. More than 40 of these were major sports or entertainment events held across over 90 event days. Kai Tak Stadium recorded cumulative attendance above 1.6 million. Pollstar placed the stadium third worldwide in ticket sales and fifth in gross revenue for 2025. The stadium ranked first in both categories in Asia.

Kai Tak Sports Park attendance, community bookings and documentary release

Community bookings exceeded 42,000 and totalled nearly 100,000 hours of facility use. Major events included the 2025 Hong Kong Sevens with over 110,000 spectators and multiple concert series that together drew hundreds of thousands of attendees. Kai Tak Mall reported occupancy above 90 % and nearly 80 dining outlets. The documentary “Game On, Kai Tak!” traces the site transformation from former runway to event precinct. The premiere aired on 3 January 2026 on CGTN Documentary Channel and CGTN English Channel. Public screenings run from 3rd of January to 4th of February 2026 at the Kai Tak Gallery presented by HSBC.
