The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has announced that the Macao Association of Convention, Exhibition & Tourism Sectors (MACETS) will host two major regional programmes in 2026: the ICCA Asia Pacific Business Events Youth Challenge and the ICCA Asia Pacific EvolvDestination Forum. Scheduled to take place in October and held concurrently with the 31st Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF 2026), the events reflect the shared goal of ICCA and MACETS to foster innovation, develop talent, and enhance collaboration across the Asia Pacific business events sector.

Focus on Innovation, Talent Development and Regional Cooperation

ICCA CEO Dr. Senthil Gopinath highlighted Macao’s strong commitment to advancing the meetings industry, while MACETS President Alan Ho emphasised the significance of the dual event premiere for Macao’s MICE sector and its regional positioning. The EvolvDestination Forum will provide a collaborative platform for destinations to exchange insights and co-create strategies for sustainable industry growth, while the Youth Challenge will give young professionals the opportunity to present creative, client-oriented solutions based on real bid scenarios.
