To mark Physical Disability Awareness Day, MCEC has unveiled its Changing Places facility, developed in collaboration with Folk Architects and funded by the Victorian Government. The facility incorporates Universal Design principles, featuring a height-adjustable adult changing table, a ceiling track hoist system, and a centrally located peninsula toilet to ensure accessibility for all users.

Strategic Location and Inclusive Design

Located near Plenary Theatre, Goldfields Café, and the Exhibition Centre car park, the facility supports attendees of various events, including those specifically catering to people with disabilities. This initiative is a key milestone in MCEC’s Accessibility Action Plan, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity and providing a welcoming environment for all visitors.
