Trade fair. The meeting industry has shown its support for next year’s Convene event, with signups already ahead of schedule. The brand new two-day event, to be held on 13 & 14 February 2013, in Vilnius, Lithuania, aims to kick start recognition for the Baltic Sea Region as a meeting and conference destination.
It has already attracted an impressive number of exhibitors, but Jolanta Beniulienė, Exhibition Director, says there is still time to secure a place. “We’ve been so happy with the response from Baltic Sea Region suppliers and the wider industry,” she said, “but we want to get as many exhibitors and buyers together as we can at Convene.”
Support for the event has also seen a steady stream of top industry buyers registering, with Convene’s hosted buyer programme offering a range of benefits, including flights and hospitality, along with a personalised schedule of appointments with suppliers.
“HelmsBriscoe continues to expand globally, with clients interested in placing group and meetings business across the Baltic Sea region. I believe Convene provides the perfect environment where HelmsBriscoe Associates can meet local industry professionals to discuss how we may best support our clients,” said Carol McKellar, Executive Director, Europe, HelmsBriscoe.
With support from government and household name venues, Convene is sure to cement its place in the meeting industry calendar. What is especially clear is that those who attend the event, the first of its kind in the region, will be making history. Beniulienė is confident about the event’s legacy for the region.
“They say there’s never a second chance to make a first impression. Rest assured that CONVENE, and the beautiful city of Vilnius, will be making the best impression to the whole meeting industry next February.”
