The shortlist includes professionals from venues, agencies, suppliers and universities, as well as event and operational teams. Individual awards cover categories including Inspirational Leadership and Rising Star, while organisational categories recognise achievements in venue management, event delivery, sales and marketing, ESG and inclusive events.
2026 miaList highlights leadership, emerging talent and industry initiatives
The Inspirational Leadership Award is being presented for the first time this year in memory of long-standing MIA member Gail Tomlinson-Short. The Rising Star category recognises professionals, students and apprentices who have been in the industry for less than a year. Winners across all categories will receive bronze, silver or gold honours where applicable and will be announced at the awards ceremony at East Midlands Conference Centre on 4 November 2026.
