EIBTM. The Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB) has proven once again its innovative capacity being one of the first firms in Europe using Google Cardboard as a marketing tool. CCIB used them during the EIBTM Trade Show in Barcelona from 18 to 20 November.
The participants could experience the venue whilst not moving an inch using the Virtual Reality (VR) googles with a great and instant success amongst those visiting its stand in the EIBTM.
The googles, which are easily assembled, use an APP available from both Apple Store and Google Play. Additionally, CCIB is collaborating with the developers to improve the quality of the experience for future actions.
Released in June, Google Cardboard is a very simple design to experience virtual reality (VR) with the users’ smartphone. Taking into account that there are more than a billion active devices worldwide, the Cardboard has the ability to target an unimaginably large audience which makes it an extraordinary tool for marketers.
Volvo has claimed to be the first brand using it in the US for marketing purposes: The Swedish automaker offered a simulated test drive on Google Cardboard to promote its XC90 crossover at the Los Angeles Auto Show, 21 to 30 November.
