Seoul. Korea has recently secured hosting duties for seven major international congresses, the Korean Tourism Organization announced in a statement. These congresses are scheduled between 2017 and 2021 and will bring more than 22.000 participants to Korea. They include the World Esperanto Congress in 2017, the World Championships of Magic in 2018, as well as several renowned medical congresses.
The organization also announced that it secured nine corporate incentive tours for 2016. Visiting corporate groups will consist of 40.000 participants and include Herbalife, Prudential and McDonald's.
The Korean Tourism Organization attributes the securing of these congresses and corporate incentive tours to a dedicated marketing campaign in 2015. "Throughout the past year, we’ve made it our mission to extend Korea's message of welcome to the entire world, and we're pleased to report that many have accepted that invitation", KTO Executive Vice President for International Tourism Min Hong Min said.
