In 2025 Chemnitz will be the European Capital of Culture. It is already worth exploring the city and the cultural region under the motto "C the Unseen": Experience the undiscovered treasures in surprisingly modern conference venues, conquer unusual spaces and, in the process, meet the people who have contributed to the European title through their unconventional "maker mentality". The conditions on site inspire new ideas through the historical industrial culture backdrop and invite you to get to know everything.

Innovation and science

World-class engineering and inventiveness: Chemnitz has just been selected as one of four national hydrogen technology centres in Germany. Here, a network of innovative technology companies from the automotive industry is developing the future of automated driving. Future forms of interaction between humans and technology are being advanced in the special research area "Hybrid Societies". With the mix of Chemnitz University of Technology, research institutions and internationally active companies, the city and its region represent know-how and value chains - and sometimes even more than that. Because in all these topics, networking and proximity to the economic, scientific, cultural, sporting and social environment are prioritised and new impulses for exchange and cooperation are set. What Chemnitz can do in any case: Connecting topics, bringing stakeholders together and creating synergies - this is also the daily claim of the congress office.

Chemnitz Convention Bureau

The Chemnitz Business Development Agency's congress office is there to provide you with free advice: from finding the right setting, networking with local experts up to creating a supporting programme of experiential industrial, sub- and high culture.
