Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau hosted executives from global industry associations at the Royal Institution in London on Thursday, 2nd March, to showcase the destination as a centre of excellence for international science conferences.
Speakers included Swiss scientists from the ISREC Foundation (Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research) and the Vivactis Group, an independent healthcare consulting, communications and marketing network. Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau held the event in partnership with the SwissTech Convention Center, the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau and the Sandoz Foundation. As well as presentations highlighting why Lausanne is the Swiss scientific and medical capital, the evening took a lighter turn with a murder mystery themed dinner, where guests solved clues using forensic science props.
Olivier Mathieu, Congress and Meetings Manager at Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau: "This is the first time that we have brought such distinguished experts to the UK to help us promote Lausanne’s world-leading position as a superior location for scientific international conferences and events. With a 200 year history of promoting scientific education and research, the Royal Institution in London was the perfect venue to entertain our guests and show them what makes Lausanne exceptional."
