In their 30 minute sessions Guy Bigwood, Chief Changemaker & Managing Director, Global Destination Sustainability Movement, and Mariella McIlwraith, VP Sustainability and Industry Advancement, Events Industry Council, show ways to a  regenerative events industry. They believe we have the collective capacity to make a difference to our planet’s health by designing regenerative events that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Guy Bigwood says: “We need to rethink, redesign and regenerate our approach to events. We need to take this opportunity to design a better future.” Learn from nature about thriving systems; the benefits of collaboration, community outreach and reducing food waste. Viewing time is 34 mins.

Emma Blake from Imex PR team takes a deeper dive into this session in her blog.

Mariella McIlwraith discusses Events as accelerators for the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
