Olympia Events has named Steven Morris as its new Executive Chef. The appointment follows the transition to in-house food and beverage operations from January 2026.

Morris brings more than 30 years of experience in hospitality and large-scale event catering. He previously held senior roles at Gather & Gather and Absolute Taste, where he worked on major sporting and live events. Earlier in his career, he served as Head Chef for the Volvo Ocean Race and the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team, managing international kitchen operations across multiple countries. In his new role, Morris will lead the development of Olympia Events’ culinary strategy across its venues in London.

Focus on integrated hospitality and new venue concepts

Morris will oversee menu development and food concepts across Olympia’s heritage halls, the upcoming International Convention Centre and The Addison premium lounge. His responsibilities include shaping tailored offerings for exhibitions, conferences and live events, while supporting a consistent approach to quality and service. The appointment is part of a broader transformation project, as Olympia undergoes a large-scale redevelopment with new event, hospitality and commercial spaces scheduled to open in phases through 2027. Sustainability measures, including waste reduction and the use of seasonal ingredients, will also form part of the food and beverage strategy.
