Ottawa is set to enhance its status as a premier destination for corporate events, conferences, and large gatherings with the addition of four new hotels over the next three years. The new properties—AC Marriott, Moxy, Hard Rock Hotel, and Renaissance—will provide state-of-the-art facilities and increased accommodation options. “The addition of these four hotels will not only ramp up our city’s accommodation offering but also provide state-of-the-art venues capable of hosting large numbers of delegates in style and comfort,” stated Lesley Pincombe, Vice President of Ottawa Tourism.

New Developments to Elevate Ottawa’s Conference and Event Capacity

The AC Marriott Ottawa is scheduled to open in autumn 2024, featuring modern design and meeting rooms equipped with advanced conference facilities. Moxy Ottawa will follow in spring 2025, known for its contemporary style and vibrant atmosphere, adding 224 guest rooms to the Byward Market area. Both hotels will be located conveniently near the Rideau Centre and the Shaw Centre, addressing the needs of event organizers and participants.

In addition, the Hard Rock Hotel Ottawa is anticipated to open later in 2025, featuring 150 guestrooms, a theatre with seating for 1,800, and various dining options, including a casino. Finally, Renaissance Ottawa is expected to debut in 2027, offering 230 guest rooms and 6,000 square feet of meeting space. These developments are expected to support Ottawa’s growing conference and events business, providing improved access for both domestic and international gatherings.
