Over $1.5 billion in investments are underway in Ottawa’s downtown core, adding new venues, hotels, and public facilities. Additional direct flights from Europe are also being introduced.

Public and private sector projects are increasing Ottawa’s capacity for conferences, meetings, and large events. Developments include new cultural and entertainment facilities, hotel openings, and upgrades to public infrastructure.

New Venues, Hotels, and Flight Connections in Ottawa

Through the Ottawa Unlimited partnership of Ottawa Tourism, Invest Ottawa, and the Ottawa Board of Trade, more than $1.5 billion is being invested in downtown projects. These include the 2,000-capacity History Ottawa venue scheduled for 2026, the Hard Rock Hotel Ottawa with a 1,800-seat theatre, new AC Marriott and Moxy hotels in the ByWard Market, and the Ādisōke central library and archive opening in 2026. Air Canada operates direct flights from London Heathrow since March 2025, and Air France began service from Paris-Charles de Gaulle in April 2024, both offering multiple weekly departures.
