Ottawa’s expanding technology ecosystem has contributed to significant growth in business events, with over $1.22 billion invested and 3,900 jobs created in the past five years.

Ottawa’s position as a global tech hub is driving growth in its business events sector. With over 1,800 knowledge-based companies and expertise in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, and digital health, the city is increasingly hosting international conferences.

In 2023, Ottawa welcomed a series of engineering and technology-focused events, including the International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers and the IAVSD Symposium. The city has already secured multiple tech events for the upcoming months.
