Rosewood Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Taywin Khampasri as chief information officer and Dries Deforche as vice president of legal for regions Europe, Africa, Middle East, and the Americas.

Having spent more than 15 years working in IT developing strategies across hospitality, food and lifestyle businesses, Khampasri is said to be leading Rosewood’s IT team providing guidance on the group’s digital and technology strategy. Prior to joining Rosewood, he served as VP of IT digital for Minor International.

Deforche will predominantly focus on the Americas and Europe regions, providing legal advice and support on a variety of matters, the group announces. He joins Rosewood coming from Marriott International where his most recent role was vice president of asset management (EMEA).

Sonia Cheng, Rosewood’s chief executive officer, said: “We are excited to start off the year with two new additions to the Rosewood family. With profound experience and expert industry knowledge, we look forward to having Taywin and Dries join our efforts to reinforce Rosewood’s position as a leading luxury lifestyle brand.”

Rosewood Hotel Group’s current pipeline of properties includes 25 hotels under development. At the start of 2022 the group is debuting in São Paulo, South America, with anticipated openings in Vienna and Doha later in the year.
